I cannot wait to see where this takes me next. I just got my tax refund and am excited to be paying off debt. You cannot get rich if you keep paying someone else money (stupid cc companies). I want to learn to receive passive income and get out of the debt cycle.

Work allows me to have some cash which is used for fun and for upkeep of my home. Of course there are multiple facets to these two things. Everyone I know has a hobby or special interest. For some it is hiking, biking, reading, television, lampworking (me) and for others it is finance, investing, real estate.

For so many people work is an outlet for making money and spending all their money. America is now at a negative savings rate as of 2005. How has this happened? How did I become a part of it?

I am currently $8000 in debt and have no clue how I got here. Well a little clue…..small debts add up and high interest rates add up quicker. I have finally had enough and came across a great site: http://7m7y.com

I am on a mission to learn how money works. What makes most of us average when it comes to finances? I believe it is a case of the haves and have nots. The haves (millionaires) worked hard, started a business, made it successful and passed that information along to family and friends. The rest of us learned how to work for an employer that could fire us ‘at will’. How is that for everyone that thinks having a job is stable? I for one plan to learn how to save and invest. By following this program I will either be a multi-millionaire in 7 years or I won’t, but either way I am sure I will learn a great deal on this adventure.
